Niall Imagine 3

Rose’s POV

I had been waiting for Niall to come home to Mullingar since this morning. My best friend I had met in my last year of high school almost 3 years ago. I sometimes wonder what I would have done without his help to get settled in Ireland after I moved from the States… I heard the doorbell ring through my empty house. My parents were at work and I was on spring break, I could now spend the week with Niall. I got up and sprinted to the stairs. I opened the door to find a young man, his blond hair in a quiff, his blue eyes shinning. Niall. I jumped into his arms giving him the biggest hug. “I missed you buddy!” I said releasing him. “I missed you too Rose and I need to tell you that…”

Niall’s POV

This was it. I was telling her that I have a crush on her. I mean, for me not to believe in love at first sight is impossible since it’s exactly what happened with Rose… here we go. “I missed you too Rose and I need to tell you that…” but of course she cut me off talking about me and the band and say that it must be quite a journey we’ve had in the past year. I guess I’ll tell her later, when she’ll listen to me… I followed her up to her room where we chatted about what’s been going on in my crazy life and what’s happening in her Uni life. “Niall, I have a question…” she said. I just loved her voice. It was so sweet and quiet. “So do you think it’s a good idea?” she finished. Well shit… I really should pay attention. “Yeah of course!” I reply hoping it was a good answer. “I need you’d understand! I really want to go to London to study history and art, maybe a little music as well!” huh. So she wants to study in London. A flash of brilliance came to my mind at that exact moment. “Do you want to share a flat in London with me?”

1 year later

Rose’s POV

“Ok Niall! This is the last box!” I exclaimed coming into our new flat. Niall peered over a box he’d already opened. “Why don’t we go out to eat? It’s on me!” He offered, and I couldn’t say no, so I grabbed my jacket and we headed out. Miraculously, no fans or paparazzi spotted us so it was like before. I had truly missed him being like this. I really liked him. But as cheesy as falling in love your best friend is, I can’t ruin our friendship. “Rose, you alright?” he asked looking at me. “Yeah I’m fine thanks.” I smiled.  We arrived at a Nando’s and took a seat. We ate, laughed, and exchanged ideas on how our flat should look like.  We headed back to the flat by taking a path through the park. We sat under a tree and talked about life and how funny it was. I loved how we could just do this. “Rose. I don’t want you to interrupt me. I need to tell you that I love you. Since we met four years ago and I know I might ruin our friendship but its been eating my insides for long enough.” I sat and stared at Niall, in shock but happy. “I love you too.”
